FIREFIGHTERS and the water incident unit were called to a stranded car yesterday, Wednesday, after it became stuck in a ford waterway.
Following heavy rainfall, the car was caught in the water on Park Lane in Higher Walton at around 2.30pm.
One fire engine attended from Penketh and one attended from Birchwood.
The water incident unit and a supporting fire engine attended from Warrington and the rope rescue unit attended from Lymm.
Crews rescued the motorist and the vehicle was then recovered by a local tractor.
