STAFF at the town centre's Asda supermarket are hoping to spread a little festive cheer throughout December in the build-up to the big day.
Employees have been hiding candy canes among the aisles with notes that say: "Kindness is a gift everyone can give".
The Cockhedge Centre store's community champion Liz Cotterill came up with the idea to help put a smile on shoppers' faces.
The note adds: "Have a lovely day from a friend."
The treats will be available up until December 24 in the Cockhedge store only.
Have you seen any of these candy canes hiding in store? Little poem reads;

A spokesman added: "Find the candy cakes, take a picture and pay it forward! Kindness really costs nothing, whether that's a smile or candy.
"If anyone finds a candy cane in store we would love them to take a picture, say thanks if they want to and pay it forward if you can.
"It can be as simple as paying someone a compliment or putting something in our food bank trolley."
