THE Thorn Inn has reopened following a revamp that has also created five new jobs.

Owner, Greene King, has created new drinking and dining spaces while keeping the Appleton Thorn pub’s traditional feel in mind.

The bar has also been completely refurbished, with the introduction of a wider selection of regional and national ales, plus world beers.

Andrew Simpson, general manager, said: “The Thorn Inn is at the heart of the Appleton Thorn community, so we are excited to be able to offer a venue for new and loyal customers to enjoy a drink or meal in enhanced surroundings.

“The opening was a real success, with great feedback from guests on the delicious new menu and the fantastic interior design. We look forward to welcoming more guests in the coming weeks.”

The pub has unveiled a new autumn menu, featuring the likes of marinated rib-eye steak, Greene King’s signature Yorkie Wraps, a burger with pulled pork and mac and cheese, a variety of fajitas and vanilla cheesecake with forest fruits and sloe gin compote.
