IF you are starting to think about what to do with your Christmas tree this year then St Rocco's Hospice is here to help.

The charity's annual Christmas tree collection service is back with a record 17 businesses and organisations volunteering to collect and dispose of Warrington's leftover trees in return for a donation.

Last year, the tree collection was fully booked up and the team collected more than 2,100 trees, raising more than £27,000.

The trees are sent off for recycling so, as well as well as helping patients living with a terminal illness and their families, those who sign up are also helping the environment.

After the Christmas tree has been collected it will be taken to central points in Warrington to be mulched and made into compost.

Your tree must be left at the front of your property by 7am on Saturday, January 12 and must be no taller than 9ft.

The team are only able to collect from WA1, WA2, WA3, WA4, WA5 and WA13 postcodes.
