A MAN was arrested at a superstore over a suspected theft and alleged abuse towards staff and a member of the public.
Police made the arrest at Asda in Cockedge Shopping Park on Saturday afternoon.
It was alleged that a set of headphones had been stolen from the shop and that a man had been abusive towards staff and a member of the public.
A man was arrested in connection with the alleged incidents and taken to custody.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident yesterday a man was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to an alarm on Market Gate.
A man allegedly ripped the alarm box off the wall.
Police say a suspect was detained on Town Hill.
