TWO men were arrested after violence flared on Bridge Street this morning (Saturday).
Just before 6am, officers moved in to deal with a fight which had broken out.
Police say two men were arrested on suspicion of affray; racially aggravated public order and assault of a police officer.
Other overnight arrests made included:
- At 8.15pm, officers attended a call in Latchford and arrested a man in connection with an alleged domestic assault. It is also alleged that the man was later found to be in possession of a controlled Class A drug.
- At 12.20am, police arrested a woman in Great Sankey on suspicion of domestic affray and assault.
- At 12.55am, a woman was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly on Bridge Street.
- At 4.50am, a man driver was arrested on Lovely Lane on suspicion of drink driving.
