LAST week we got a leaflet regarding a Halloween lantern walk at Westy Park, which was supposed to run until 6pm.
My four-year-old daughter had been excited about it all week, picked her costume and came home as soon as school finished to get ready.
When we arrived there was absolutely nobody there.
We thought maybe they started a little early and checked the park in case they had gone on the route already but there was no-one to be found.
Not even an event organiser inside the community centre, no one at all.
My daughter was so disappointed, a concept I didn’t think she even knew about at her age.
There is far too little to do in the Westy area for children and I don’t think it’s very fair.
