COUNCILLORS are becoming fed up of HGV drivers parking on public roads in Chapelford and Old Hall overnight.
Borough councillors for the area recently attended a meeting with officers from Warrington Borough Council, the police, residents and representatives from Omega to discuss the problem.
The meeting heard vehicles were parking up while waiting access to warehouses at Omega.
Burtonwood Road has been affected in the past, however following reports by residents and police speaking with the lorry drivers, appears to have resolved the issue in the area.
However the roads of the partially-completed new housing around Omega appear to be the areas most affected.
The police have agreed to liaise with the drivers and businesses to discourage the practice. Police officers will also investigate other possible enforcement measures.
Ward councillors are asking people to get in touch if they see any HGV overnight parking in the ward.
