FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a suspected vehicle fire on the M56 near Warrington this morning, Thursday.
Shortly before 7.30am fire engines from Lymm, Warrington and Greater Manchester attended the incident on the M56 eastbound between junction 10 at Stretton and junction nine at the Lymm interchange.
The driver of a HGV had stopped due to a suspected fire but fire crews found no signs of a fire after examining the vehicle with a thermal imaging camera.
The vehicle had since been moved to the hard shoulder.
