ST THOMAS' church in will be enhancing their annual remembrance service with stories from First World War soldiers.

The church in London Road, Stockton Heath, will mark their act of remembrance with a procession from Victoria Square at 10.30am, joined by Stockton Heath Methodist church.

There will be stories about some of the 126 men from the area who died in the conflict which have been investigated and researched by Warrington Cubs.

Two minutes of silence will take place at Stockton Heath's war memorial at 11am followed by a service at St Thomas' church.

An evening service at 6.30pm has also been arranged at the church.
