QUEUING to get off Riverside Retail Park for more than an hour was too much for one driver.

The woman has been captured on camera screaming at the car in front to move.

Drivers complained they had to wait for more than an hour to get off the town centre retail park on Friday afternoon as all the exits were jammed.

Re-surfacing of the car park outside Homebase had restricted the amount of spaces for shoppers and the retail park was also busier than usual because of the half term holidays.

Motorist Elizabeth Booth posted the video on Facebook showing one driver arguing with another motorist.

She said the road rage driver had 'bumped' the car in front before getting out of the car and shouting at the other motorist.

The road rage driver then returned to her vehicle and yelled at Elizabeth for filming her.

During the clip the road rage driver is told: "That's road rage. It's a crime."

The road rage driver replies 'so is being ignorant' before screaming 'Move your f****** car'.

Elizabeth added: "She was unbelievably rude.

"Bumped a car trying to get in front of me when there was nowhere to go. Screaming, shouting, swearing and threatening.

"There was about 15 to 20 minutes of abuse before this clip."

Is road rage a criminal offence?

Advice from Ask The Police say there is no such specific offence as road rage.

A spokesman added: "Road rage has been used to describe minor incidents from a gesticulating driver and a driver shouting obscenities to incidents where drivers have been assaulted or their cars damaged by other drivers or pedestrians.

"Minor mistakes such as pulling out in front of you or pushing into a queue are minor faults that admittedly are very annoying but are something that most of us do from time to time and by retaliating you will only make matters worse."

Anyone who has been the victim of a more serious incident where serious threats or damage has been made to you or your car, should report the incident to the police with as much information about the offending person and/or the vehicle involved.
