Robert Anders, who hails from Longford, is flying the flag for Wire's Grand Final hopes aboard RFA Fort Victoria.

"I am the Commanding Officer and the ship is a Royal Fleet Auxiliary. We are based worldwide and currently in Birkenhead undertaking a refit period

"My personal RAS flag is the Wires flag and it’s been on Wave Knight, Wave Ruler and Lyme Bay."

Although not on the picture, Rob said the flagbearers needed no coercing.

"They needed no encouragement - they all volunteered. They’re all being educated in the wonder of the Wire," he said.
