PEOPLE in Warrington can now order food using Uber’s food delivery app - Uber Eats.

The popular app, already available in Liverpool and Manchester, means you can order your next meal and have it delivered to your door.

But there's only a handful of takeaways currently available and you'll have to live close to the town centre to be able to use it.

Currently the app offers delivery from Cafe at the End of the Universe in Warrington Market, Lee's Asian Cuisine, Chip & Co and McDonald's.

The app is powered by the same technology that helps you get from A to B, allowing you to track your delivery and pay (and tip) using the same account you use for Uber. No cash required.

How does it work?

1. People in Warrington can download the Uber Eats app and order from restaurants on their smartphone (available for iOS and Android) or by visiting ubereats.com.

2. Select your location - you can select your home, office or any other address.

3. Choose your meal

4. Place your order - pick the items you want right now or schedule your order to the arrive whenever is most convenient.

5. Track the progress of the delivery - get updates as your order is prepared and delivered.

The app is available every day of the week from 8am to midnight.

Toussaint Wattinne, General Manager of Uber Eats in the UK, said: “We have been blown away with how popular the app has been in Liverpool and Manchester so we’re really excited to be expanding into Warrington.

"We have partnered with plenty of restaurants, so we hope there will be something for everyone’s tastes.”
