A HOTEL is offering armed servicemen a free night’s stay on Remembrance Sunday.

The Hallmark Hotel in Grappenhall, formerly the Fir Grove, will give away rooms to any members of the armed forces past or present when they spend £50 on food and drink in its bars and restaurants.

Valid for the night of Sunday, November 11, the offer marks 100 years since the end of the First World War.

Head of marketing Debbie Neate said: “This year marks a significant anniversary that commemorates the agreement to end fighting during the First World War in 1918, and Hallmark Hotels wants to offer ease to members of the armed forces travelling up and down the country to pay their respects.

“We look forward to welcoming former and serving members of the forces to enjoy a relaxing stay.”
