Greg and I have had a very busy day today.

We have been out and about visiting houses in some of the villages with a family who are desperate to find somewhere.

They have the same dream as we did.

They have two lovely children, so well behaved.

They want to bring them up in a safe, happy, village atmosphere.

We are however, due to their budget, finding it very difficult to find them somewhere, and it is so frustrating.

We went to a village called Sierro first. The house we showed them was perfect for the family.

The money was right, it had 6 bedrooms, two living rooms and 3 decent roof terraces.

The down side was that the grandma is going to live with them and suffers form arthritis and the street it is on is far too steep for her to manage.

It was such a shame. They all looked so disappointed.

The rest of the day sort of went the same.

House after house we visited.

They were either too big, needed a bit too much work, or they needed a mortgage to buy it.

It is frustrating when you speak to people first about the price and what the access is like.

You tell them as much as you can, yet still they want to view them, just in case.

One by one though, they were discounted.

Oh well back to the drawing board.

We are off to Almeria city centre for the morning tomorrow, shopping.

Nothing too extravagant. Just food for us and fish food for the fish.

We struggle to find the fish food near us, as no-one sells fish, other than to eat!

So it's an hours car journey, through the mountains.

The scenery is lovely, and it is a great road in better condition than many in the UK.

The last time we went, Ben and Nick saw two lovely finches, they really wanted to buy them but had run out of aviary space.

We weren't sure what type they were, but they were a beautiful emerald green colour.

I have a have feeling we will come back with something that isn't food though!
