THIS is the moment armed police surrounded a man who was believed to have been carrying a gun near the Salvation Army in Warrington town centre.
Police were alerted by a concerned member of the public on August 7 at 8.25pm.

The witness told the emergency services that they had seen a man armed with a gun.
Firearms officers swiftly attended the scene on Academy Street and located a 35-year-old man who was stopped on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm.
The man was found to be in possession of BB gun.
Officers seized the item and the man was given words of advice, police have confirmed.
