TORUS has submitted plans to build 15 affordable housing units across four sites.
The social housing provider has put forward plans to construct two affordable houses for rent, on Summerfield Avenue, four bungalows for rent, on Massey Avenue, six apartments for rent, on Longshaw Street, and three houses, on the corner of Longshaw Street and Troutbeck Avenue.
The design and access statement for the final proposal says the vacant brownfield site is 'ideal for development'.
It adds: "This development is a part of an ongoing affordable housing scheme in the Warrington area.
"In developing this proposal, we believe that we have taken on board the council’s aspirations with regards to sustainable development objectives, national planning policy guidance, regional planning policy guidance, social, economic and environmental considerations and planning and highways guidance.
"We also believe that the proposed scheme will provide a high-quality development, which will complement and reinforce the local distinctiveness and character of the area and help in creating a more inclusive and sustainable community."
