TRAINS running through Warrington are experiencing major disruption today, Thursday.
A number of Northern Rail services scheduled to stop at Warrington Central and Warrington Bank Quay have been cancelled or delayed.
Services between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Oxford Road - calling at Warrington Central, Padgate and Birchwood – have been hit by cancellations.
Trains that have run between Liverpool and Manchester have been additionally calling at Trafford Park and Humphrey Park.
The line between Bank Quay and Liverpool Lime Street has also seen a number of services cancelled.
As of lunchtime, services as far in advance as the 14.44 from Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street have been cancelled.
Northern Rail has blamed the disruption on a ‘shortage of train crew’.
