A FORGOTTEN part of the Walton Estate is being opened up to the public for the first time in nearly a century.
The old laundry area, located by the hall, was part of the servant’s quarters and used for storing dairy, meat and game and washing clothes.
Now it has been refurbished to become home for the cycle museum.
It was opened last week and promises a new experience for visitors.
Meanwhile work is also under way to convert the former indoor riding arena, behind the heritage yard.
It will be used to stage events throughout the year including a new food festival in April.
