THE refurbishment of The Cherry Tree pub was marked with a ribbon cutting performed by two parish councillors.

The reopening was performed by guests of honour, Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council members Cllrs Keith and Sue Bland, at the Common Lane bar and grill premises.

Cllr Bland said: “Myself and Sue were thrilled to have been given the honour of officially reopening the Cherry Tree following its big refurbishment.

“The Cherry Tree is a great pub and is right in the heart of the village. The whole team have done brilliantly to pull everything together, they’ve done an excellent job of it.

“We’ve been in the village for 40 years and it’s always been a good family pub, we’re so happy to see that continue.”

General manager Simon Davies said: “We’re so pleased at how brilliant the Cherry Tree looks following the re-model and we were thrilled to have had Keith and Sue cut the ribbon for us.”

“The pub looks fantastic following its refurbishment.

"We can’t wait to welcome back our regulars and the people of Culcheth and the surrounding area to see what the new look Cherry Tree Sizzling Pub & Grill is all about.”

The Cherry Tree will continue to look to support the local community with a calendar of fundraising initiatives throughout the year.
