TWO men were arrested on Sunday morning after a man was knocked unconscious in a nightclub in the town centre.
Police were called to Bridge Street at 2.30am on Sunday following reports of a 'disturbance' at Identity.
A 28-year-old was discovered with serious injuries and he was rushed to Walton Hospital in an ambulance for medical treatment.
Police say the man is now conscious and is recovering in hospital from the attack.
A 31-year-old and 34-year-old were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
Both men remain in police custody while investigations continue.
