A 68-YEAR-OLD woman charged with the attempted murder of a care home resident in Burtonwood has appeared in court.
Marie Seyferth, who is living in Preston, appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court today, Thursday, following a stabbing at St Mary's Continuing Care, on Penny Lane, in May last year.
She faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon.
The case has been sent to Liverpool Crown Court and will next be heard on September 11.
There was no indication of plea in today's short hearing and Seyferth was bailed.
Police were called to the care home in Burtonwood following reports of an attack shortly before 1pm on May 18 last year and Seyferth was arrested at the scene.
While investigations were carried out by detectives, Seyferth received treatment in hospital.
