THE funeral of a young Warrington Wolves fan who died days before his 12th birthday will take place tomorrow, Tuesday.
Joshua Morris, who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the age of 20 months, died on Saturday, July 1, days before he was set to lead the Wire out as mascot at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on his 12th birthday.
His funeral will take place at 11.45am tomorrow, Tuesday, at St Elphin’s Church followed by a burial at Fox Covert Cemetery.
Ahead of the church service Joshua will visit the home of the Warrington Wolves for one last time, with members of the public invited to line the streets around the Halliwell Jones Stadium where he is expected at around 11.15am.
They are also welcome to attend the service at the parish church, with Joshua’s family requesting that mourners were bright colours and rugby shirts.
The family have requested that Joshua’s burial remains private.
