STOCKTON Heath parish councillor Nick Bent is 'doing all he can' to help Labour's Warrington South candidate win the seat.
Mr Bent, who has lost out in two Warrington South general election battles, believes Cllr Faisal Rashid can stun the electorate and storm to General Election glory on June 8.
He said: "I was delighted to sign Faisal's nomination papers and I'm doing all I can to help him win, on the doorsteps and behind the scenes.
"Faisal is a strong Jeremy Corbyn supporter, yet in an election all parts of the broad Labour family rally round to take on the Tories.
"Faisal was a dynamic mayor and would be an infinitely better MP than David Mowat, who has blown his credibility and let the town down badly.
"Mr Mowat broke his promises to Warrington on bridge tolls and school funding and does not even live here any more.”
