A MUM-of-two is set to launch her second baby product after the first became a bestseller on Amazon last Mother’s Day.

Helen Davies from Westbrook launched the EasyMat, a suction plate and placemat for babies, in March last year.

Within three weeks it became a number one ranked Amazon bestseller, outperforming top global brands.

Former St Gregory’s Catholic High School and Priestley College student Helen spent 10 months developing the product.

She said: “I love my youngest daughter Keira so much but she was a challenge when it came to weaning, the complete opposite of her elder sister Elora.

“At mealtimes anything that wasn’t pinned down got chucked across the room – I wanted to continue letting her explore food but with far less mess.

“I found an integrated plate and placemat that was selling well in America but there was nothing like it in the UK – I decided to go one better and add a suction cup to each corner, so it truly sticks to the table or highchair.”

Now Helen has launched the Mini EasyMat, which is designed for highchair feeding and travel and comes equipped with a travel case and lid.

Her products are proving so popular that Helen is now selling the commercial cleaning company that she has run for the last 12 years in order to focus on inventing, with the product set to be sold out in Europe.

Helen added: “The EasyMat is perfect for home feeding but I decided to create a more portable version that fits all sizes of highchair, something parents could take with them to pubs and restaurants and on holiday.

“The Mini EasyMat has got its own best seller badge now and I am in talks to bring it to market in Switzerland and Portugal.

“Ultimately I want EasyMat to become a household name – my next goal is to take the product to the UK retail market to fly the flag for mumtrepreneurs and Warrington.”
