ANOTHER new cafe can open in Stockton Heath after councillors agreed to an application the parish council had tried to block.
Zalo's Cafe on the Corner can now open in the former HSBC branch on London Road which has been empty since April.
Councillors on the development management committee agreed to the plan on Wednesday night when they met in the Town Hall.
The existing flat on the first floor level will also be retained.
But Stockton Heath Parish Council had objected to the plans saying the village already has enough restaurants, cafes and hot food takeaways nearby.
The cafe will operate between 8am and 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 8.30am and 5.30pm on Sundays.
There are four on site car parking spaces provided at the back of the unit.
