YOUNGSTERS at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School were left thrilled after using virtual reality headsets to travel to the Pyramids, First World War trenches and space.
As part of the 'hope and dreams' week at the Whitecross school, on Selby Street, the children were treated to the Google Expeditions learning experience.
It allows teachers to take pupils on virtual journeys right from the comfort of their classroom.
Children also got the chance to travel back in time to the Jurassic period throughout the day.
Staff said the event 'inspired' kids to write 'thought-provoking' poetry.
Expeditions allow teachers acting as a 'guide' to lead groups of 'explorers' through collections of 360 degree and 3D images.
