A POLICE helicopter was deployed to Lymm this afternoon after a driver went on rampage across Runcorn and Warrington.
Officers descended on Halton Lea at 3.15pm today, Tuesday, following reports a car had been driven into a wall.
The driver failed to stop at the scene of the crash and then fled in the direction of Warrington.
He was located a short time later on the A49 heading towards Lymm but ignored calls from a traffic patrol officer to pull over.
The driver then crashed into another car parked up in Lymm.
He then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot towards Brookfield Road.
Officers are currently searching the area in a bid to trace the motorist.
The man is described as between 25 to 30 years old with a skinhead haircut.
He was wearing tracksuit bottoms, a red jumper, a black coat and bright red trainers.
