A CAT charity is appealing for help raising funds for lifesaving heart surgery for one of their latest residents.
Cosmos was taken to Warrington Cats Protection after her owner died and staff have since discovered she has a serious heart condition which requires an operation.
The cause needs to raise £1,000 to save the life of the affectionate eight-year-old, who loves affection and cuddles, and has set up a fundraising page to hit their target.
The adoption centre on Elizabeth Drive in Padgate will also be hosting a 'Crafting for kitties' fair on April 2 from 11am to 3pm.
As well as a variety of craft stalls to appeal to all ages, visitors can treat themselves to homemade cakes and biscuits from the refreshment stall or join in a range of activities.
Sonia Scowcroft said: “The fair is a great opportunity to have some fun while supporting the charity, which finds new homes for the many unwanted and abandoned cats that come into its care.
"Entry is free, although a donation or a can of cat food is always welcome, so please come along and give us your support.”
To find out more about the fair or to offer a cat a home, call the centre on 03000 12 06 12 or visit warrington.cats.org.uk.
