FOUR people were injured last night after a 'stabbing' on Wilderspool Causeway.
Three men, 30, 35 and 36, sustained wounds while a 23-year-old woman suffered minor injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time.
It is understood that none of the injuries are believed to be life threatening.
At 9.10pm on Thursday March 10, Cheshire Police were called to reports of a disturbance.
Officers from Warrington CID are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and a number of areas are currently cordoned off.
Officers are not currently looking to trace anyone else in relation to the incident.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Gordon Wilson said: “I would like to reassure the public that we are not looking to trace anyone else in relation to the assault itself.
"However we are keen to speak to anyone who believes that they may have witnessed the disturbance.
“Wilderspool Causeway is a busy road and we are keen to speak to anyone who was passing through the area around Brian Bevan Island last night and believes that they may have seen this incident taking place.”
