AS Dad's Army hits cinema screens this week after more than 40 years, we are on the look out for residents who served in Warrington's Home Guard.
Janice Hayes, heritage manager at Warrington Museum has uncovered two pictures understood to be the town's Home Guard.
She added: "I was told by someone I interviewed that the real name of the Home Guard was the LDV or Local Defence Volunteers …but apparently the joke was that it stood for Look Duck and Vanish!"
Do you have a relative who served with the Home Guard in Warrington?
