ACUPUNCTURISTS are inviting people to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Monkey, which begins on 8 February, by using acupuncture to help them keep their New Year’s resolutions.
The ancient Chinese treatment involves inserting very fine needles into the body at key points to treat physical and emotional problems.
Mary Laing, an acupuncturist at Cheshire Natural Health in Stretton, said: “Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions and I personally have witnessed in my own clinics just how effective it can be.
“An increasing number of Western medical research trials now acknowledge the clinical value of acupuncture.”
The therapy can be used to tackle the classic New Year’s resolutions such as losing weight, improving memory, stopping smoking and reducing stress.
Cheshire Natural Health is offering £20 off the price of three acupuncture sessions to mark Chinese New Year.
