A 14-YEAR-OLD has been taken to hospital with burns after being found on the railway line in Winwick this afternoon, Friday.
British Transport Police have confirmed they were called to Mill Lane at 2pm after reports a person found lying on the line.
A spokesman said: "Colleagues from Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service also attended and a 14-year-old boy was removed from the tracks and taken by ambulance to Alder Hey Hospital where he is being treated for burns.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing.”
