A POST-MORTEM examination is set to take place today, Wednesday, on the body of a man discovered in Orford.
The body was found near to the junction of St Peter’s Way and Battersby Lane at 5pm on Monday on a plot of land close to the railway line.
The family of missing man Terence John Clare were informed of the discovery on Monday.
Police have confirmed that they are no longer looking for the 40-year-old from Padgate, who was last seen by a family member 6.30pm on Thursday, April 9.
Terence’s heartbroken mum Fran said it was difficult to find the words to speak but wanted to say thank you to all those who shared the appeal to find her son.
She also would like to say thank you for the kind words by loved ones and complete strangers who have helped her during this difficult time as this support from family and friends has been vital.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained rather than suspicious.
Formal identification is to be carried out as part of the post-mortem examination.
