AN Appleton parish councillor was one of the many across the town to be gripped by the anticipated launch of BBC One comic drama Ordinary Lies this week.
The show, which was filmed in Warrington between September and January, hit the screens last Tuesday at 9pm for its first episode - the same night Appleton Parish Council's monthly meeting took place.
With part one of the meeting coming to a close at around 8.30pm, Cllr John Price (Hill Cliffe ward) admitted he was keen to get home to watch the likes of Jason Manford and Michelle Keegan in action.
He also urged his fellow councillors to tune in for the programme.
"I want to get home for it," he said.
