A TOTAL of 118 shoeboxes were collected by staff at Barrow Hall Primary School for this year's Operation Christmas Child.
The boxes, filled with sweets, toys and toiletries for youngsters in war-torn and disaster-hit countries, were collected earlier this month to put a smile on youngsters' faces on Christmas day around the world.
Sue Devers, from the school, added: "Children really enjoyed putting the boxes together at home and we were really pleased with the number who got involved."
