Well the team is safely back from a very constructive trip from down in Lanzarote. There was sun, sea, sand and a lot of very hard training. The days consisted of 3 to 4 training sessions a day, starting with a 7:30am swim every morning, then at 8:00am it was time for a quick Breakfast, at 9:30am we would all meet up on the training field for a sprint session and fitness sesion, these were very intense as we were tarining in 25 degrees sun sunshine. Once the morning sessions were over we would all meet for dinner and then chill by the pool till it was time for the gym.

We had some good laughs by the pool, wheather it was listening to paul ra'hiha's ipod with "the Wheels on the bus go around and round' were all the guys would sing along or wheather it was listening to Andy Breakeks rave music were there was a couple of the lads making some big box little boxes hand movements.

At 2:30pm it was back to the grind stone were we had a corestability session combined with a really tough heavy gym session. After the gym it was time to refuel with supplements of protein and carbs so we were prepared for a ball work session on the field at 4:30pm.

On the field the guys looked very good and quick, there was some real quality ball work.

Once the days sessions were completed we would have our evening meal and then have a meeting were we would set our team goals for the season with our new pyscologyist Dave Alcock which was very beneficial and could prove to be a big difference with some of us players. Once the meetings were over it was time for a quick chill down and a chat between ourselfs over a coffee and then off to bed were we would complete the same routine over again, so as you can see it was no hoilday but a really enjoyable trip.

Woody.
