Crews called to overloaded socket blaze
FIRE chiefs have issued a warning over plug sockets after a blaze on Barnes Avenue in Fearnhead.
Crews were called to the electrical fire on Sunday at 2.40am but found the flames were already out when they arrived.
A spokesman added: "When they arrived crews found that there had been a fire caused by an overloaded plug socket.
"Crews carried out a Home Safety Assessment before leaving the incident."
