WATCHDOG Healthwatch Warrington has released an update on practices taking patients after the closure of the Barrow Hall Lane surgery.
Causeway Medical Centre’s surgery on Winstanley Close, Great Sankey, can take new registrations and a new centre in Hood Manor will be opening towards the end of the year.
Chapelford Health Centre, Burtonwood Road, also has an open list as does Penketh Health Centre on Honiton Way, but residents must check if they live in the catchment area.
A spokesman added: “Over the next few years there is substantial growth expected in our local population.
“Warrington CCG and Healthwatch Warrington are working with NHS England Cheshire, Warrington and Wirral, and Warrington Public Health, to identify the population needs over the next few years.
“All of the above GP Practices are working together as part of the Warrington ‘Primary Care Home’ initiative to develop extended services closer to home.”
