NOT many people have the willpower to stick to their New Year’s resolutions but mum of one Laura Anderton is still going strong seven months into the year.
The 26-year-old from Culcheth decided that she wanted to test herself in 2014 by trying something new.
After finishing her first triathlon in May, Laura set herself the challenge of completing the Bolton IronMan competition on Sunday and completed the race with a sprint finish in 15 hours, 57 minutes and 40 seconds.
She said: “The swim time was fantastic. The bike leg was long, gruelling and very tough but I made it.”
Laura has also raised more than £3,000 for Reuben's Retreat - a centre for families who have suffered the loss of a child or who are living with a terminally-ill child.
