BUDDING footballers had the chance to stand where many football legends have stood before them when they were given the chance to play at the home of Everton, Goodison Park. Westbrook Old Hall Primary School’s year four football team showcased their sports skills when they secured a place in the final of the Road to Goodison tournament, which was organised by the Everton Academy. PE and school sports leader Mel Jamison said: “I was so proud of them. To get through all the rounds of the competition and get to Goodison was amazing. It was a fantastic day.” The pupils fought their way to final and even had the chance to play at Everton’s training ground Finch Farm and meet manager Roberto Martínez.
