RED Bank Farm is once again set to open its doors to the public as they celebrate Open Farm Sunday.
The Winwick Road-based farm will take part in the event, organised by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming), for the fourth consecutive year on Sunday.
Nicola Watkinson, aged 28, who runs the farm’s shop with sister Joanne Watkinson, aged 23, has promised a fun and free day for all this weekend.
She said: “It’s great to be able to show customers what we do and the standard of care we provide to our animals.”
The event has become a phenomenon in recent times, with around 2,000 guests attending Red Bank for last year’s Open Farm Sunday.
This year’s event, sponsored by Asda, will include a petting zoo, face painting, butchery and machinery demonstrations, pony rides, burger-making workshop as well as displays from HawksRus throughout the day.
Raffles will also be held to raise money for North West Air and Diabetes UK, with the chance to win exclusive Red Bank food hampers.
Doors open at 11am and admission is free for all. For more information, visit farmshopnorthwest.co.uk.
