AN Indian festival to mark the beginning of spring was celebrated by more than 100 people at the Burtonwood Community Centre.
The Holi Festival, which was held for the second time in Warrington on March 30, is often described as the festival of colours or the festival of love.
Summit Tuli, founder of the Indian British Group of Warrington, said: “Everyone had a great time. The aim of this group is to bring all communities together and promote understanding and harmony.”
Mayor of Warrington, Clr Peter Carey, and council leader Terry O’Neill also attended the event, which was supported by the Golden Gates Housing Trust.
The group is also planning to launch an Indian dance class later this month.
