WINWICK Leisure Centre now has its own defibrillator on site after campaigner Ken Morley organised a race night to raise money for the potentially life-saving machine.
Almost £500 was raised on April 4 and a generous donation from the Winwick football teams meant the centre could buy the £1,000 defibrillator.
The race night was organised following the death of seven-year-old Ciaran Latham-Geddes, who died in 2012 after suffering from a cardiac arrest while playing football with a group of friends.
