THE Peace Centre has revealed their plans to mark the 21st anniversary of the Warrington bombing.
This year, there are no plans for any civic commemoration on March 20, the day an IRA bomb killed 12-year-old Tim Parry and three-year-old Johnathan Ball.
Instead the Mayor of Warrington councillor Peter Carey, representatives of the council and the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace will meet at 12.15pm at the River of Life and Bridge Street memorial to pay their respects, lay flowers and participate in a minutes silence and reflection at 12:27.
Water will also be taken from the River of Life fountain and transported back to the Peace Centre and poured on the Peace Tree that grows in the grounds of the Peace Centre as a symbol of hope for a peaceful future.
Residents who are in the Bridge Street area on the day are welcome to join the moment's silence and reflection.
