LABOUR MP Helen Jones says it is 'totally unfair' that almost £10million extra has been given to schools in Cheshire - but none in Warrington.
The Government announced on Friday plans for an extra £9.4 million for Cheshire West and Chester - but nothing for Warrington.
She said: “The recent government announcement on spending was supposed to be fair.
"But how can it be fair that next year, Cheshire West and Chester will get £9.4 million extra funding and wealthy Westminster another £3.1 million while Warrington gets nothing.
“Once again we’re seeing funding being given to better-off areas like Bromley and Cambridgeshire, Bournemouth and Surrey while there is nothing for Warrington.
“This is totally unfair and shows how out of touch this government is with what is happening on the ground. “
