DAYDREAMING at school may have been something that used to get you in trouble. That’s not exactly the case at Beamont Collegiate Academy, in Orford, where a new type of teaching is aimed at encouraging children to ‘tackle some of life’s deeper questions’. Philosophy for Children focuses on activities to stimulate discussion and debate. Teachers say it will help learning and development.
