THE family of Irene Dunn have paid tribute to a ‘kind-hearted woman, who had a heart of gold’ following an inquest into her death.
Irene, of Belmont Avenue, died on June 25 at Warrington Hospital from bleeding on the brain after she fell and hit her head at her home in Latchford, coroner Alan Moore ruled.
The 70-year-old also suffered from polycystic kidney disease, which was stated as a ‘contributing factor’ to her death at the inquest at Warromgtpm Coroner’s Court on Thursday.
Irene’s cousin Barbara Dix-Baker said: “Everyone in Church just loved her and she was always there for everybody. She was a lovely person.”
She added that despite a number of illnesses, which plagued her in later life, Irene, who attended Latchford Methodist Church, was always one to keep on fighting until her death last year.
“She was a big part of the community and was always there to help people whenever she could,” added Barbara.
