A HOUSING company has announced a golden deal for 9,000 Warrington households that could mean savings of up to £240 a year.

Golden Gates Housing has negotiated cheaper rates with energy supplier EBICo Ltd for its tenants who do not pay their bills by direct debit.

Now all customers will pay the same rate regardless of payment method.

This deal is particularly good news for people on pre-payment arrangements who normally get charged a much higher rate for their gas and electricity.

Royston Willard, chairman of GGH said: "I am absolutely delighted with this new arrangement with EBICo."
