Bin fury

A MAN said the borough council came up with a ludicrous' idea over his unemptied bin.

Paul Wright from Dover Road in Westy said his bin, which needed replacing because there was a hole in it, was not collected because the lid was slightly open.

When he phoned the council he said he was told the council binmen would come round with a new bin, empty the rubbish into that, and take away his old bin - still leaving him with the rubbish.

"It's just ludicrous," said Mr Wright.

A spokesman for Warrington Borough Council said: "We have been to Mr Wright's house, taken the rubbish and the old bin, and left the new one."
